CABW - has the mandate to:

1) - Coalesce struggling NGOs and NPOs around the world.

2) - Mentor them to self empowerment for self sufficiency. To stop being a victim.

3) - Support them to the point of independence for self reliance.

The Internet is a wonderful medium for the work we have chosen to do. However, there is also the down side. It is also a portal for schemers to come in.

It is with much regret that Creating A Better World (CABW) is having to withdraw its support with assisting Healing By Natural Touch (HBNT) .

We had been working with Humanity Healing for this Nigeria project..
However failure by Dennis Akpan to provide HH specific answers to specific questions compelled HH to officially notify CABW of its inabilty to proceed further. (see letter below).

Subject Nigeria Project

To All Concerned:

It is with deep regret that I am writing this evening to inform everyone that Humanity Healing Foundation is withdrawing its support for Dennis Akpan's project in Nigeria. As a legal nonprofit, we have very specific requirements on how we support/manage projects overseas. It was our intention to use our network in Africa to connect Dennis with an existing legal entity which could both satisfy the United States Internal Revenue Department regulations as well as providing Dennis a legal support structure for his outreach.

The organization recommended by our representative in Africa, David Lubaale, was Rev. Dr. Christopher Abiodun Matthew and the Prevailing Word Church. Bishop Matthew is very well respected and his organization supports schools (including Pastor Timothy Cost's Schools in Uganda), an orphanage and a hospital.

One of our primary requirements was an interview between Dennis and representatives of Bishop Matthew’s organization at Dennis Akpan’s location so that Dennis’ current outreach could be evaluated. It is my understanding that Dennis did not supply an address for the project to be verified and stated he preferred to travel to Lagos and visit Bishop Matthew’s organization. The recent emails concerning Dennis being ignored by a “Gloria” after he traveled to meet with her are not true. Specifically, there was no appointment in Lagos scheduled in advance.

As a result of this and the shadows cast on Bishop Matthew by Dennis, neither our representative nor the Prevailing Word Church feels comfortable working any further with Dennis. Since our recommendations and requirements for participation cannot be met, we are formally withdrawing from this project.

If, in the future, Dennis Akpan is able to provide the required proof of legal nonprofit status and structure, we will reevaluate this project.
